U need to be an accredited master by FIDE, or certain national master titles are accepted.
GM - 2500 FIDE + 3 GM Norms
IM - 2400 FIDE + 3 IM Norms
FM - 2300 FIDE
CM - 2200 FIDE (usually given out in youth tournaments or older guys looking for recognition)
NM - Given by countries national chess federation
U need to apply to chess.com with one of these titles if u have one, and they will check it out and then place a title before ur name.

Don’t worry u won’t get one, u need to improve by at least 1300 elo rating strength before u could even consider it.
A lot study a lot, one the main skill being proficient in tactics and endgame. If are you dedicate and diligent you reach master in five years.
How do you get Master? You use Master bait, of course. Don't forget to tip the waitress, she's having my baby!
