That link does not work for anyone except the members of the Chess.com V3 club, where club(V3) == group(V2).

If your not part of the club, you won't see that  "Try the new Chess.com"

LegoPirateSenior

@RonaldJosephCote -- yeah, but the gray text on the dark gray background above is a fully functional link to V3.

Incidentally, if you're in V3 and click that link, you'll go back to V2 Laughing.

We should not be disappointed if it is even later this year or early next - no one wants a site full of little problems - it's annoying - so let chess.com make it right. It's not like we can't play chess and post in forums while we are waiting.

Whilst thats true am having issues with all the broken stuff in this current V2 version. Stuff that has never worked since it's introduction.(particularly games explorer)

Would like to see that fixed whereas development team seem to be fixated on spending their time on visual-appearance instead.

Looks worryingly like a windows8'ish appearance? (that's a dead duck and not user friendly however hard microsoft try to convince us)

I love windows 8. It was an adjustment from the 7 they use at work but I really think its quite intuitive and customisable.  It feels like a new interface rather than the wimp system.  Having started on dos commands I liked the wimp system but never quite felt it was the final goal.

I think going back to V2 by clicking that link is designed that way for now.  IMO

Here_Is_Plenty

matthew, my first thought was wow that is pretty cool.  Second thought was wait a minute, I would need to wear gloves to handle it.

RonaldJosephCote

Erik didn't want us to post test results on V2 threads, so how did a V2 thread end up on a V3 forum ??   Did staff do that??

RonaldJosephCote

Lego Pirate;   your right about that gray matter. I don't think THAT was by design. IMO              On 2nd thought Lego;  you and I have access.  Try getting a non paying member to click on that gray matter. I bet it won't work for them.

Ronald, you're mixing yourself up ;) read post #407

And unless I'm mistaken, you are right, Erik doesn't want test results posted.

BTW Ronald, breakfast at Mc Donald's? That can't be healthy! What do you have for breakfast? I just discovered they serve breakfast here in Spain too :)

RonaldJosephCote

I have a sausage mcmuffin with egg and coffee at DD. Sometimes I'm just too lazy to cook. They stop serving breakfast ar 10:30, so if I wake up after that, I'm otta luck.

Sounds very nice! I gotta try it.

Nope. For some reason, live chess still doesn't work and everything is missing from v3 that's in v2.

Theres probably at least a month of features that still haven't been released. Maybe in November?!

Haha I bet c.c learned a lesson about not saying everything will be out in June way before they know. XD

chesskingdreamer

it's actually not in even beta testing, the website is in alpha mode and should be treated as such (so says the staff, anyway.)
