If we assume an average of 25 branches per position across the first 100 half-moves, the number of lines searched would be 25^100, which is around 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times more than the number of protons in the observable universe. Though there are a lot of other factors that pare that number down significantly, I'm still going to hazard a guess at "not far".
