What chess.com rating should I be before going for that title? It is the lowest title possible, right?

What about CM?

No...what rating do IIIII need to get to even think of going for FM? Is it 2200?

Check out the 2nd link and look at FMs who play on chess.com

But also, OTB tournament play is different from online. You should go to tournaments before you'e close to FM because you'll have to get used to it, but also because playing strong players in tournament conditions is an important part of improving in general.

2300

You'll need a chess coach and some time, but it's worth a try if you really enjoy chess

Agree with the above posts! Something else that might help: get some good books and actually work through them completely. And CM is the lowest Fide title yeah

Chess.com rating is totally not related to Fide rating. Fide rating is achieved by playing in Fide rated games. But Fide rated games are NOT online and only played face to face. And you usually will have to pay money to join such a tournament. Chess.com ratings are not the true indicator of chess ability.

You.

Why ?

You need to get a 2000 FIDE and chess.com has nothing to do with it.

EDIT: Typo. Meant 2300.
