I prefer to place the knights using the thumb and index finger on the left hand when black and the right hand when white...this confuses my opponents greatly
How to place the knight?
I like to place my knight upside down, and tell my opponent to hold his breath as I try to balance it.
When he passes out, I start his clock.
I always have my dark square knight upside down and the white square knight 23 degrees to the west.
And I do the same to my opponents knights.
I place them facing to the side always, usually to the right.

the class B player should talk to Kramnik, Kasparov, and Karpov and tell them its illegal.
thogh Karpov's king knight has turned his back to the king while Kasprov's king knight is facing the king:P
Staring ominously at my opponent's king.
I like making that king sweat a little.
