I don’t want to win by connection loss please help

While I am playing live game with my friend (30 min). Due to some network issue/phone call, if his connection loss I win by resignation (Not for the first move), But he never resigned. I also lost by the same way. How to avoid this? I don’t want to win by connection loss as he has enough time remaining to continue and reconnect even the time count for all these.
Please help
