That eight game losing streak is just a statiscal anomoly. You have a distinguished profile with a thousand games and trophies. Don't get discouraged.  Your account is respectable and holds promise.

Penguin. Hang in there buddy. We shall see.

I have lost about 15 games in a row if I remember correctly. When you are having a losing streak, it's either you take a break or enjoy the losses.

Don't worry you will bounce back with winning streak soon.

Take a break, study and get back at it. You will get the rating back.

Thanks for letting us know this most important piece of news.

But why so serious? It's a game.

Again thanks. But it seems like you're here just to talk.

It is only a game?  Seriously?

Just tell yourself how much of a moron you are when you lose.  Then feel so smart when you win.  But forget about the outcome of your last game within 30 seconds.

I'd suggest taking a break from playing and study instead. Do puzzles, lessons, etc.

If eight losses in a row has you thinking seriously about quitting chess, then perhaps you are right... perhaps your personality or your ego are too fragile for this game.

Chess is not a game for limp-wristed half-hearted cookie-pushers. It is a game for knuckle-dragging, hairy-backed MEN. You need to be psychologically capable of falling FLAT on your face, crushed like a bug by some clever-dick kid a third your age, and then picking yourself up, regaining your mental equilibrium, and sitting down for the NEXT game.

Which you must play at FULL strength. Not tilt.

I personally lost THOUSANDS of games before I really started getting half-decent at the game.

You might win the ninth.

One out of three. Are you limp-wristed? Half-hearted?

Will you stop being constructive?

I did have have a temporary limp in a past life if that counts. Was also told I don't have a heart

You've only played rapid and you've done very well with that. I understand that the average is only 800 which means, if you haven't studied, you're beating people who have studied a little bit. Maybe you have a natural Chess mind. You should start studying and playing daily games where you can apply your studies to your games. It will make you better at fast games. Learn the fundamentals.
