I need help on a good opening because I have been stuck at elo 1235ish.🥺🥺🥺

Honestly doesn’t matter. You can play the bong cloud for all I care, and you’ll still progress as long as you have planning, strategy and focus. Pick anything…You ‘ll get past 1200 don’t worry about it

I agree with soopadoper. Tactics, strategy, endgame and etc matters more than openings. Just pick anything you're comfortable with

OMG you can just google it. Look it up yourself. There's plenty of videos on youtube. And there's lessons on chess.com. Studies of it exist on lichess. All you have to do is look.

General chess ability is more important than openings. I got to 1500 literally without any opening prep, just experience with my own games.

Some OP openings that are breaking the game are English Opening, Queen's Gambit, London System, and Catalan for white, for black Sicilian Defense, Queen's Gambit Accepted, Ruy Lopez Berlin Defense, and London System except you are black. These openings (especially the Catalan) are stupidly overpowered and game breaking and chess.com has refused to nerf them for years so you might as well abuse them as much as possible
