the theory on that opening is almost impossable

Dianna_98

Whats so hard ? If they play Bc5 you okay C3 and D4 If they play the Steinitz (D6) you push D4, same for Jaenisch Gambit (F5) If they play Berlin, you play the Rook E1 Anti Berlin Whats so hard about that ?

Dianna_98

Many amateurs play the Cozio (Nge7) and the fianchetto (G6) Then Nc3, D4 and opposite castle to punish that and easy wins

Dianna_98

The Ruy Lopez makes amateurs look what they are

Dianna_98

It gives a Good White player many many easy wins

Dianna_98

Any Titled player that plays E4 plays the Ruy Lopez, that is a Must have in the Repertoire

Chessmatic24

thats why that was aways in the masters data base

yeah ameteur... i definitely dont play the cozio

Dianna_98

An E4 player not playing the Ruy Lopez is like a D4 player that doesnt play the Queens Gambit It just doesnt make sense

Dianna_98

You are not an Amateur you 2300 you are a FM Level

Chessmatic24

should i study endgames more i know the philidor and the lucena

Dianna_98

You should create an opening repertoire first, then learn the Middlegame ideas and learn how to calculate variations

Dianna_98

no, endgames while a little important, usualyl arent what decide games. usualyl the game is decided by how well you play the middlegame, and if you can find the tactics that will be decisive.

Many players peak around 1800-2100 because they ignore imbalances and positionally play.

Tactics training is useless if you arnt able to find a plan in your hand
