Hi, I'm a fairly new chess player and I am just entering for my first chess competition. It says 15 mins per player with an increment of 5sec per move. I don't really understand what the increment of 5 sec per move means! Please help me! Thanks.

it means when you finish your move and hit the clock- 5 seconds are added to your time

let's say after your first move 5 seconds have elapsed- so you would be at 14:55 then add the 5 second increment and your clock is now at 15:00
