I just saw this on the internet....Maybe it makes sense because India is now the most populous country, maybe it is hogwash too??? What do you think???

It is the caste system. When most young Indians are pressured to do well to the point where they are suicidal, it is a problem, not a good thing. Too tell you the truth, I find it strange that Anand is still alive.

This is all just opinion, but I think Russia will still be dominant, but China, U.S.A. and India will be on their heels in that order over the next 10 years....I think 30-40% is high for any country.....the most dominant country to emerge by 2027 will have no more than a 20% lock in my opinion.....only time will tell.

I remember reading somewhere recently that India had just surpassed China in population, but the info. I find on the internet has China just slightly more, so I stand corrected....but for all practical purposes they are about the same in population, and India's population is still growing faster than China so it will likely surpass China within 10 years....

funny to watch india try to outcompete other nations for most populous title.  That is a title I would not want.  A great way to impoverish the citizens and fill the nation with unmanageable sewage imo!

yeah, no wonder why so many of them come here and to Europe. We are even starting to see the decline of our civilization here due to over-population...the world definitely doesn't need more people competing for finite resources and fouling it up with our waste, IMO.

Time has changed fellas ..Gone those days when only GM Anand was known as an Indian personality in the game of war on the board. Now the air has changed and chess is becoming popular among teenagers . You can't be sure but soon India is going to give many GMs and Champions . Its not about India .. Its not about country .. What matters is that Its about Chess.. Its a victory of CHESS 😘

I have very high hopes from Praggnanada. Thats about it though.
