blitz relies on a lot of intuition, you need to build up experiences to play blitz well, otherwise you will have no idea what you are doing. so play a lot of rapid and your blitz will follow eventually.

I guess your intuition isn't fast enough. It's also about playing simple chess and not trying to win by forcefully finding a win. You have to find the right balance between bullet and rapid.
Skill descends from the slower to the faster time controls.
Carlsen is that good in blitz and bullet because he has spent so much time playing and analysing classical time control games.
Intuition is accumulated experience.

Great point, never really considered that. It's very hard to make a simple move without wasting time when you think there might be a better move

Do not analyse blitz games. It is not worth to analyse longer than the game itself.

Why do you never play blitz here?
Blitz is in the middle of bullet and rapid. You need to think fast, but it is possible to get through to an endgame with blitz (increment).
