The title of this thread sure has been changing frequently. . .

Because, what is it?

I don't believe there needs to be a victor in a forum. I don't believe everything and anything is possible. But what is theoretically possible I believe would form a complete story if all the parts of it were there. I'll say the most outrageous thing I've ever said now in the form of a question or possibility. Sorry I can't Keanu meme anymore but what if the whole world was a lie, like actors and stage props cleverly orchestrated and what if even the greater understanding of people like that was a lie? Just what if. could it be done?

Its just a simulation.

would there be an anomalous realization in some or would this also be a lie? If so what purpose would that serve?

As a subject of the simulation, you don't need to know. And it so happens that its on a need to know basis.

Yeah, that's where I'm at too.  I don't believe every thing I hear, and I believe there are gullible people, false memories, charlatans, frauds and crazy people. But I don't think that the existence of nonsense proves that inexplicable things that are currently unrecogized or accepted by science and the status quo are off the table.

I just know we really don't know anything.  We are vastly more ignorant than knowledgeable about our true origins, the origins of consciousness, awareness, the universe, etc... Without a clear understanding of the most fundamental things, any edifice of knowledge we build is on top of fundamental uncertainty about everything, and therefore an open but not gullible mind is the sanest position.

Here is proof that the government is coming for some of you for letting out their secrets all across the world. And by government i am talking about various countries who have kept the UFO business hush.

So the next time you think it is your opponent spying on you...

Nothing is off the table, at all. As long as there is evidence for it.

Just about the weirdest thing I have ever heard of is QM. But the evidence for it is weighty.

Coming close on the weirdness scale is Dark Energy. Again, lots of evidence.

UFO's I actually do not consider to be as weird as either of the above two items. But no repeatable, verifiable evidence for them.

And that was not a topic I started. I await conclusive proof of visits from sentient extraterrestrial beings.  Until then my mind is open in the sense that I won't rule it out. I think it's possible. I don't know the likelihood.  I am very passive in my approach.  I like to read news when people think they've seen UFOs,  and watch the occassional science channel reference, but not more than that.

So then no matter how great our understanding we are always equally as far away from understanding. Like this riddle. A man running a race covers exactly half the distance remaining every time he moves. How long does it take him to finish?

Tough. I am going to go with 30 seconds.

That's actually a fact. Not usually spaceships but marketing research. The CIA admits owning and operating facebook as released on CNN. It's just unknown if or not that kind of control is for security only.

I know, I just post misleading information on facebook so the CIA doesn't know that they should terminate me.

Ubik42

Also, if you follow the top CIA execs on twitter and facebook, you get to know their movements, so you know which cities you shouldnt visit this weekend.

For example, I am not going anywhere near Boise, Idaho this weekend. if I do happen to find myself there, I am not going anywhere near Moe's Delicatessen on 3rd avenue.

Let me ask this: Do you think such chess players count as "strong"

No, they're garbages who rely on their gift, forgetting the one principle of chess that had made it such a complex and interesting game to this day: Develop. They just simply win by cheating, and not by skill. These worthless fake masters will not stand any chance if they're playing long-distance chess.

Really, all the masters that use ESP, psychokinesis, clairvoyance, claiaudience, telepathy, ESP, or entrail-reading should have their foreheads stamped with the words "Electric Dunce Neuro-Sociopath".

Ubik42

It is, of course, well known that Akiba Rubinstein had no skill at chess. How did he win games? Well, lets see, is it really so hard to figure out?

The world is heavily reliant on your country. In fact we don't know what we would do without it.

Everyone would make a good living selling cave-scrubbers to each other. Also, "Bear Dowsing" to clear safe caves would be a booming business.

well this would plunge the world into darkness. Banking, communication, commodities. Now ask me if I think this wouldn't be exploited since we live in a just and fair world.

As if the world isn't in darkness now.

Now they have 10 reasons to take you out! You know they do not like jokes as they have a no sense of humor.

Just put it on the paper if you prefer in the back of the head or the mouth. And present them with the bullet as economy is hard.

One of Zeno's paradoxes. I think it was solved by Aristotle.
