 I love Chess.com

Its hard to comprehend that there are people who don't like this site! This site is awesome.

starbug

There might be more chess sites, but no other site has as good a domain name.

You can't beat CHESS DOT COM. Kudos to whichever one of the staff grabbed that name Cool

AWARDCHESS
Good chess domain can be good for good business, sure...
Nytik

Yes, it is a great site, and popular, by the looks of it. For example, did you know that yesterday, just over 1 in 10,000 people who accessed the internet went on this site?

AWARDCHESS

We need promote that website!

And got paid for that, too!..

AWARDCHESS

We have a progress!

One year ago it was even more slow!..

We looking forward!

Everybody calm down, you too erik. I have had few problems as stated by others and enjoy the site very much. I also understand changes in a system that can cause trouble. Members need to think of what they get compared to what they give! Go site over all.

Just want to point out that WoW is 15 dollars a months and has way way more down times. It does of course come with lots of pretty pictures but I don't find that this site is particularly tec challenged and I am here alot.

Think about it; bankrupt, is releasing aquired debt. Money is intrinsic in value to the faith placed by societies in ownership. Without said ownership all material goods and means are free of structured governance. Once outside the control of interested, (and uninterested too, by association) parties, value would become proportinate for a need  of goods and services. It is a cirular logic with complicated algorithms. My point is that what chess.com is now, would continue as long as it holds the value WE place in it. If the owners now loose control, they are on the outs and a new party will be in A monetary darwinian social theory of survival of the fittest, which ironicaly is found in both socialist and capitolist theory, would play out here. What I find interesting is the metaphore that actualy playing a game of chess is tyring not to go bandrupt through liquidation of assets. Your king never leaves the board, only control of it.

AWARDCHESS

I do my best to get good job done for really improvements, here...

I mean, I am a whistle,  if  I am not manager...

Even, if some believe, that everything is fine!

There is nothing fine in the business field!

Let's make a fun!

Coincidentally, EVE Online has been experiencing all sorts of problems this week as well.  Now, if we put two and two together, we can only reach one logical conclusion:

EVE Online and Chess.com are sharing the same server and are slowly merging into one massive, science fiction-based chess MMO!  Awesome!

Why is chess.com still in beta?  Is it for the same reason gmail is in beta? Because it is never done adding features.  When will chess.com move out of beta officially?

Anyhow, Erik, I can definitely relate to your struggles.  I am the web developer/administrator for a very large video game website which has been going through a lot of database-related problems lately as well.  Query optimization is boring, slow and painful.  Not to mention having to deal with a hacking in there too :\

Erik, if you get this post, look into the facebook angle. I know there is a chess app that you have on there, but there is a better one called ChessPro. It allows for takeback requests, and is overall sharper and smoother. I found this site through facebook, but the ChessPro app on facebook (not linked to chess.com) is sleeker than the Chess app (linked to chess.com).

Mooch off that facebook traffic! Beat out the ChessPro app!
