Annie's Song

-

You fill up my senses

-

Like a night in a forest (yeah ok)

-

Like a mountain in Springtime (lovely)

-

Like a walk in the rain...

-

Like a walk in the rain..are you kidding me?

-

I've just had a walk in the rain, thank you very much

-

I got wet, muddy and wet again

-

The wind made my cheeks ache

-

I nearly fell over in the muck

-

I got drenched through and very cold and my clothes were really really uncomfortable

-

Walk in the rain..you may as well say "like an icy cold mud bath".

-

You fill up my senses

-

Like an icy cold mud bath...see how you like them apples...

-

Ditch her.

Charlotte, yes, Payne Stewart died from an airline accident.      And I quote Wikipedia about John Denver    "Denver was killed on October 12, 1997, when his experimental Rutan Long-EZ plane, aircraft registration number N555JD, crashed into Monterey Bay near Pacific Grove, California, while making a series of touch-and-go landings at the nearby Monterey Peninsula Airport.[47] Denver was the only occupant of the aircraft."

I have very fond memories of Monterrey Bay from the early 1990s -- first time I was in CA with a special person.......

DENVER

Although HIGH doesn't refer to his great love of bowls - it refers to that funny stuff that DENVER is regularly on. happy.png

Too old to die young.

The cause of the John Denver crash was tragic. He bought the plane from someone who built it himself and included some eccentric design modifications. One of these was that the switch for the reserve fuel tank was relocated in an awkward place behind the pilot's left shoulder. This was concluded to have been the cause of the crash, when a routine action became awkward enough to cause Denver to lose control.
