Hi guys,

there are websites where you can play vs Leela for free.

Leela Zero programmers have successfully created an online neural network engine Leela Zero. The engine will play instant move, so its rating might be around 1200-1400 I guess.

All you need to do is just click the network and play. (no username or ID is required)

If you would like to set up Leela Zero in your computer, let me know. I will help you set up. (Leela works on GPU, a 64 bit computer with dedicated graphic card like Geforce or AMD may require for your computer)

My game vs Leela!

Guys, beat Leela before he is stronger, hehe!! No one know the real power of machine learning! One day Leela may be stronger than stockfish!!

Happy to see the progress of Leela Chess Zero!

Still, able to beat it.How do you update the network file?

Just download and copy to the LC0 folder?

Please inform how to configure LC0 in Arena.

Download this version 13. ( It is 2 days old but I will help you update later) http://www.mediafire.com/file/ilm2ixxpl9ednez/LCZero+Gen+13.7z

Unzip in Arena, engine folder.

Engine->Install new Engine->when you try to locate the engine file, instead of type of file(*.exe) choose from all *.* file type---> choose play.bat

You can run your arena now.

If you would like to contribute in network, click training file, make new account.

replace the cd1a1e with the newly downloaded network 98240**

Then open and edit the current network number in play.bat file with notepad.(note pad can literally open any type of file)null

You play instant mode or slow mode? instant mode 0.2 sec thinking time, slow mode 2 sec! Much stronger.

Thanks. Was able to update the network!

Plays stronger! Discovers opening theory! Challenges other engines well!

If the network file to be saved with txt entension?

If any program to be run (play.bat, client.exe or Lczero.exe) before starting the engine in Arena?

A few questions - what does a neutral network engine mean. If it a technical way of saying self learning AI?

Played it and was able to defeat it.

Though this was not in slow mode. Will play in slow mode and let you know of the results.

Hi,

I think I found a problem with the app. In this position (I was white) the computer just stopped moving.

Its complete won for white and I tried clicking the force move button after it froze, but there were no new moves. Is this the computer's way of resigning.

what's the point?

GPU-s can't be used to play chess, long time tried and all projects abandoned.

Machine learning is the future of Artifical intelligent! GPU were not used in the previous times cos the price of GPU were much expensive and AI technology were not that much efficient. (For comparision, electric cars were not used previously cos of cost effectiveness but it would be the future cos battery are cheaper and more efficient now). Likewise, AI, machine learning, or Neural network can run on any CPU  or GPU now, but GPU are more efficient and GPU prices are lowering.

So it is the future!!

Leela is 'thinking'.

So the first game that I posted was in instant mode. I have now also played a game in slow mode, and it was much stronger.

But I had a couple issues playing the game. For one thing I was in the middle of a game with the Philidor defense opening, and it just paused for minutes without moving. So I started another game without completing it. Also, I find it hard to move the pieces. Unless I click on the very middle of the square the piece is pulled back  to it's original position.

Probably a buggy network, newnetworks are updating everyday! try new one!
