Welp, Levy's 0-2 in the NY tournament right now. Round 3 currently being played.

He seems like a good guy to me, hope he doesn't let those losses get to him.

You just proved that you watch it too through this sentence.

Anyways my opinion is he is definitely a very good chess player (IM) I also sometimes watch his videos and learnt a few things. But sometimes I feel he disrespects the lower levels through roasts.Anyways he is still a great player(Maybe can become GM).

Not my favourite chess content creator, but I watch his videos a bit.

I know people want to analsye games, but ffs just play the game out in full first, then analyse it, rather then constantly stopping the game and showing what they could have done instead with ten extra more moves. It really irritates me.

Comment on their moves when you play the game, sure. But review it after and show what they could do different at that point.

Its not fun watching a chess game where some smart guy keeps pausing the game every other move to say "oh, they could have done this"

Many chess video makers need to learn this.

DreamscapeHorizons

Round 4 currently being played. He has .5/3. He's playing black against Kyron Griffith (2382) and a Caro Kann is on the board.

DreamscapeHorizons

Alrighty, Levy lost again in round 4. He's currently .5/4 & waiting for round 5 to start. His score expectancy is 4.5/9 in this tournament & I'm guessing that ain't gonna happen.

DreamscapeHorizons

Okie dokie, he lost round 5 too. He's currently .5/5 but if he wins his last 4 he'll be at 50%.

That last blunder in round 5 was pretty bad, and I think his coach is gonna need a lot of therapy after some of these games
xtreme2020
Hopefully he can get some points back in the last 4 games though
OutOfCheese

yeah sadly he's .5/5 now, it's just the beginning of his journey, may he stay strong mentally

DreamscapeHorizons

His first 2 events back were very good results. Nobody only has good results, there are always bad ones. It's the overall average that matters.

But levy is doing badly in the tournament in New York, which is bad for his road to go
xtreme2020
#34 yeah he’ll almost certainly still be above where he was when he started after this tournament even though he’ll go down a bit. Also nice pfp

Even if he gets the norms it doesn't really matter if he doesn't get the rating the losses are probably helpful

DreamscapeHorizons

Levy is losing round 6 & if the other player who only has .5 draws his game (looks pretty even right now) then Levy will be in last place... the cellar dweller. Come on man. Maybe all the streaming is too distracting for what he's trying to do.

He only streams on titled Tuesday it's not the streaming

DreamscapeHorizons

He streams all his tournament games and then makes a video about each game.

He just lost again. It looks like Kovalchuk is losing so at least Levy won't be in last place alone.
