Lichess Players are stronger

Looks like you ignored my post... Yes ratings are higher but I am basing it off the percentile... like I am 88% blitz atm but only 65-70% at lichess... so if your at a certain group percentile in chess.com you are likely be at a lower percentile at lichess.

The percentile are based off how many people are at what rating.

Tell that to the 2000 Classical lichess player I played who hung a rook before move 20

Comparing the two sites isn't totally logical, as the majority of players that you'll encounter have accounts on both sites.
So you're actually playing many of the same players, just with different usernames.
Two different websites. Same overall pool of players.

My blitz rating her is around 85% percentile... I have been up to 1400s though tilted fn...
In lichess I am around 1700 which is in the 65% percentile radius...
Ok one little data but all that free resources on lichess.com means the players are comparably stronger than on chess.com... where I am 20% percentile weaker on lichess.com than on chess.com!
chess.com has the better experience for lower players, and so it has a significantly larger population of lower players.
You're not 65% of the population because of strong players, but rather the lack of lower raters. If there are more lower raters, then you would be higher.

Hasty generalization

Lichess is much better suited for fresh accounts... with the free Explorer, Puzzles, Basics & practices series, 1 premove at a time guard, no ads etc...
I am 65%-75% precisely because the % of players are stronger than me... compared to the 85-90% in blitz I have hovering in (1300s to 1400s) in this website.

Lichess has the best free features. It doesn't matter.
Chess.com has chesskid and other advertisements that bring in a significant amount of newbies to the player pool.
If you have a single NM, yourself and a bunch of newbies(98). you're going to be 99%.
If you have a single NM, yourself and 1 newbie, you're going to be at 50%.

@binomine
Yes Chess.com seems to be the more brand or popular website... and it comes on the top 3 spots when you search Online chess etc...
Yes my percentile is quite a bit lower on lichess.com...
- So large influx of new players on chess.com padding the percentiles
- Lichess.com with all the free resources making stronger players...
