lucky players that win and run

Chess players are people who usually consider themselves as being some what intelligent or smart but I find most to be scared, fearful, tough chat talking, runners. Most run from rematches, win or lose. Grow a pair, you scared little girls

If some of them are little girls, growing a pair is going to be very traumatic for them.

Maybe they didn't want a rematch with you because their spidey-sense detected that you're an a-hole.  I don't think luck has anything to do with it; they were just a little smarter than you are.

Forkedupagain

 Not this again!

ErikWQ

The amount of people on this site that have this idiotic notion they are somehow entitled to a rematch is truly mind blowing. STFU ya big bunch of babies!

RothKevin

worst then the lucky players that win are the unlucky players that have to sit and read all these rematch threads

universityofpawns

Yes, the best chess players border on paranoid, what of it?

batgirl

One one side we have scared little girls and on the other side we have big cry-babies....

I'd buy a ticket.

Well, it's about time somebody addressed the rematch problem in a forum.  I want one of you babies who cry about being denied rematches to explain why someone who beat you would be afraid to play you again.  Presumably your opponent is unafraid to play someone new but terrified at the thought of playing someone he already beat.  Oh yeah, I forgot.  Because he knows he was lucky.  He knows that a player of your awesome ability couldn't possibly lose to him otherwise.  Grow up!

This should appear in a pop-up box any time someone clicks to create or comment in a thread.

Well, that explains the number of depressed chess players. They read these forums.

I have some advice for victorious opponents of rematch fanatics.  When he requests the rematch, tell him in game chat, "I don't blame you for wanting a rematch.  Obviously you deserve one.  You outplayed me but I got lucky."  And then reject his request.

So somebody either does what you tell them to do, or they are a coward? Life doesn't work that way.

Nobody is a runner.

Someone wrote on my notes I was a runner because I would not accept rematch.

Thing is only sign up for one game not a match.   The biggest issue is poor losers bleating because they lost who have some weird desire for some kind of revenge. They need to settle down

After every game, win or lose, I immediately go to the Analysis to see what I did wrong.  For me, that's one way to help me improve my game.  I can't help it that by the time I'm done my opponent has left the room.

That is a very good habit to get into. I try to do the same even on the 3 minute games, otherwise they are a bit pointless

Speaking of runners, it's funny how the OP ran instead of defending his post amid all the criticism.

peterc850

OP sounds upset.
