Assuming you're right about it being Carlsen, it was on Norwegian TV, and it was titled "Magnus Carlsen's Last Big Title". Here's the Chessbase report on the video:

I couldn't get the link to work; I don't know if that's because they pulled it from the site or because I uninstalled Flash Player from my PC.
Escher thanks a lot! This does look like it! Should have asked here earlier!
Can't get the video to play either though. Looks like it's been taken down. Drat.
Hey Stolen, I caught the link you posted before you edited your comment:

It works for me! This is the clip I was looking for! Just a two-minute clip from the documentary mentioned by Escher above -- but it made my day, thanks! Wish I could watch the whole documentary again. Can't really imagine why it's been taken down. These films are good for chess!
Can someone help me find this video of Carlsen that I watched on youtube some months back? I can't seem to find it anymore. The video shows Carlsen somewhere in the US (possibly Washington Square Park) approaching one of the local chess sharks for a game - a black guy. The local shark has no idea who he's playing and Carlsen soon beats him. Carlsen is then revealed to be the world champion and the black guy says something like: "Man I didn't know who he was but his moves were something else ..."
Searched long and hard to find this video again but to no avail. Anyone know where it is on youtube? Or at least I think it was youtube. Could also have been on Norwegian TV.
