I am glad you like it. In the version for octet there are two violinists, who are the bishops. Perhaps you can be one of them. When the version for octet is ready I will share it here.

I'm working on a chess ballet for octet (bassoons are rooks, oboes are knights, and the inner instruments are a string quartet). The pawns are the dancers. Here's a piano version of the first movement, Sicilian Dragon. I plan two or three additional movements, and have to find openings with suitable pawn structures.
