according to some of my friends, in laws, and a guy at sim lim square, apparently i resemble this dude ...

AlCzervik

stanley tucci! my wife's knee surgeon resembled him, also.

are you secretly a knee surgeon?

president_max

no way.  my hands are too jittery to be a surgeon.

i, also, hate shaving. but, growing it out creates its own issues. for example, i am not the only man that hates the hair infringing on our lips, and, especially, the corners. drives me nuts.

however, since i am a lazy man, i let it grow and typically now just shave the neck and trim around my mouth.

speaking of how i am lazy, i have had a goatee at many times. friends told me it fit. well, it is more work than taking care of a beard, so, i don't do that anymore. it's because i am lazy.

have i mentioned that i am lazy?

(if not, my avatar should provide clues)

laziness is the mother of all invention., not necessity.  i am a strong believer in laziness.

however a beard in a hot climate makes hygiene a challenge.

AlCzervik

also, lofina's pics of the guys with beards are younger men than i.

i've noticed how those that are older may go gray earlier in certain places. look at sam waterston.

the hair on my head has few grays. the hair in my beard is full of them!

president_max

better to have gray hair on the head than none, i'd say.  tucci might agree.

bunny (or, have i been discourteous by not addressing you as Prez?!?), i am still trying to invent a better golf game.

yeah, when i lived in florida, and it was extremely hot every day. i was taken with how many other construction workers had beards. (when i lived there, i only grew it in december or january) this may sound crazy, but, i think it was due to insecurities these guys had. really, in a tropical climate, working outdoors, who wants to sweat more? ugh! of course, then i saw many of them with the trucks with big wheels.

maybe not. it's a good look for some. it works for him, and, some women find a bald head sexy.

when i was in the trades, one of the sayings was, give the laziest guy the toughest job. he will figure the easiest way to get it done.

Yeah but most of those lazy asses  will just drag up and go back to the hall and get another job they can skate on.

I also hate the hair infringing on my mouth too Al, I have invested about 3 bucks on these little scissors that cut that sh#t out of the way of the Pie Hole.

imho it's more economical to shave.  5 mins on the face twice a week.  5 mins 1mm trim on the head every 4 weeks.  think of the time & money saved.

How fast do they grow and how often do you change the blades

[my father in law refuses to change them till its worn, which is totally unhygienic? No?]

No way Bunny, let it all grow it doesn't even cost penny. Everyday people love the beard, believe me, because almost everyday somebody says something to me about it.
