My new Chess Variant

My club created a fun new variant of chess. We assign each piece a number, 1 is pawn, 2 is knight, 3 is bishop, 4 is rook, 5 is queen, and 6 is king. On each player's turn, they role a dice, and have to move the piece they roll. If a player can't move that piece (or doesn't have it), they lose their turn. This is interesting because it changes strategies, people can hang pieces, hoping they will be able to attack before the opponent can move the right piece to capture, losing the bishop pair is worth getting the opponents last knight because they have a greater chance of losing their turn, endgames that should be a draw aren't always drawn, etc.
