So lets say you are "studying" 25-26 hours per week.  And after 1500+ games, and 8 months of speed chess.  Youre a 1200 rapid player.   I dont think your "study" plan is working.

In fact what exactly is your study plan?

stop being so hostile to an 11yo some people just arent naturals, and 1200 is not bad for a kid at all it's 600 points above scholastic average

If you think my post was "hostile".  How do you make it through day to day life???  I wasn't being "hostile" I was being honest, and asking questions.  Regardless of age.  If you're putting in 25 hours a week of study, you should be showing more improvement, especially if the OP wants to make GM in 7 years.  Give me an 11 year old with an average interest in chess, and I can have them playing OTB chess at a USCF C class level in 6 months.  A 1200 rapid online rating isnt impressive.

agreed. impressive ratings are way higher than that

And im not saying the OP doesn't want to improve, that he isnt serious about improving, and its always good to have goals.  But whatever the OP is doing isnt working.  And he certainly isnt going to make GM in 7 years, let alone playing speed chess.

im tryna reach 1500 rapid by the end of the month. any tips lol?

Tactics… don’t get flagged. THAT IS THEIR ONLY WAY OF WINNING

i usually play 30 minutes rapid so i dont think i will ever get flagged lol

did you listen to anything I said? first of all I highly doubt an 11yo could be c class in 6 months second of all 600 points above school average is a lot maybe not for an adult but a lot for a 11yo

No...I didn't "hear" a thing you said.  Again....give me an 11 year old with just an average interest in chess, and Yes yes they can be playing at a USCF C level in 6 months.  An OTB rating of 600 is a beginner, period.  Start simple and instill the basics and youre on your way.

You are under no obligation to believe me, and I am in no way trying to convince you of this.

Yes I agree. I have games where I played like a 1200 and other games where I played around 2000, and actually managed to come to a winning endgame (I flunked it) against a 2600 rated FM.

Wow. So close to beating an FM.

Well, the endgame wasn't that clearly won, I had like 2.3+ and then it became -0.6

Man... I know what it's like to lose a won game...

I've been playing chess for 4 years now and I mean like I haven't been told that and I guess the catch here is that I don't play more than 2 hours ever. I mean they don't think chess is addiction actually, and that might be a hard thing to change. Now try not to play secretly at least. Limit 2 hrs maybe month or 2 eh; because the moment you get caught you'll regret it

I'm about the same age as you, and have the same problems.  although I don't play that much chess, and my parents don't get that mad( ground me or anything), but i do think its normal for parents to complain over chess if you spend too much time on it
