SDI sounds quite interesting.  Thanks for the heads up.  Time to dig into it.

I overdosed on MBTI (and chess too) years ago.  :-)

I believe that I am an INTP-T 5w6. Because of my Ti/Ne, I can't pick just one opening to study - I need to be prepared for anything my opponent might play.

Yeah, I know quite a lot about MBTI! grin.png It's fun!

My partner is an MBTI certified trainer.  I needed to teach myself "a degree" in PSYCH, just to protect myself, so to speak.

SDI looks geared to conflict analysis in both personal and professional settings.  At first blush, MBTI seems weak in both these areas, hence my interest, NOW.  grin.png

Thanks again for the info.  Much appreciated.

that's a good way to explain it.

Kasparov is ENTJ, Bobby Fischer is INTJ. You can see the contrast in their playing styles clearly, Fisher is more about the end vision, while Kasparov more about attacking.

INTP here.

ENFP here. Probably not the best personality type for chess all in all. =(

I like to imagine what is going on in opponents' heads. I like the narratives you can find in a chess game too. It's very exciting.
