is there anyway to disable this??? it ruins the game for me. I understand its role but it also feels like someone walking in and pointing out the miss, it's a hint, I've disabled those...
tried support, but of course ended up reading a bunch of bot written silly responses about whatever other topic that happened to have similar wording. 😵💫😐💀

when yo king is in check and u did not either block the check or move the king to a legal place, your king flashes and there is a sound effect

Yes, it's a design flaw, since in my experience it buzzes or flashes whan you're taking the correct action to get out of check, because it's very clumsily programmed. That makes it annoying and somewhat offputting and is the kind of interference that shouldn't exist.
