Good luck everyone, and let's give him a hard time in our games. :)

Let's fortell the final result.

I'm gonna say 17.5/20

Kinnmark

15/20
+12 -2 =6

chasm1995

10/10, give or take ten points either way.  Wink

Since he scored 92% in the last simul (42 wins, 8 draws, 0 losses) he would need to score 18,5/20 (92,5%) in order to break his record. My prediction is that he'll get exactly 18,5 (18 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss).

Thanks that you're so optimistic. Wink

Well, he lost a pawn somewhat quickly, so he just resigned in disgust.

Martin0

pelican was in a position with a pawn behind, white has the initiative and white has a very solid position with no clear weaknesses. On the bright side he has at least the bishop pair. I think it's too early to resign, but black would have to suffer for the rest of the game. He can just hope white overextend his pawns or get a position when the bishop dominates the knight or get some kind of drawn endgame (1 pawn is not always sufficient). If white is careful that should never happen, but that is easier said than done.

NewArdweaden

I guess it was more or less an act of paying respect.

got it,

thanks

I did see all of that, but it seemed that it was not enough to merit resigning so I thought I had been missing some kind of tacticle trick that everybody else was seeing. Surprised

Far too early IMO. Trade off the right material, a pawn is a draw.

I guess because it's an unrated game, can't be bothered to suffer.

Martin0

In my 3 latest games my opponents resigned too early. I gained 52 rating points Money Mouth

Below is a game I played 2 years ago when I somehow managed to win a rook endgame where I was 2 pawns behind and couldn't do much more than wait for white to break through. Sometimes miracles happens for those that won't resign too easily. Smile

chasm1995

I resigned in my game because I placed the Queen too quick to notice the fork, since I was trying to protect all my pawns, and I resigned out of respect for being completely outplayed by a much more skilled opponent.

Martin0

Nothing strange with resigning when your loosing the queen. In that case it is pretty hopeless.
