I like how chess.com has given us tools to more efficiently be nice to our opponents.  I've been using it but find that people are still grumpy and generally mean on this site.  Gotta tell you I could care less if someone doesn't respond but it is pretty cool when they do.....or will.  Someone's got to eventually right?............maybe........ya think??

I didn't mean to suggest that people in the forums were mean and grumpy.  Quite the opposite. That is just how my little ol' brain imagines all of the people who don't respond to a good natured  "GG" after a game.  I know most folks play on their phones so never see the chat anyway.....

So what is the aim of all this 'classification of users'? Will chess player be ranked and filed? Will users begin to be segregated in "good sport" and "bad sport" areas? Seems a bit sinister to me. In any case, after you've played your first 10 000 games or so, you tend to lose a bit of interest in the same, contrived little say things.

Well. I'll say this. If they go the entire game without saying anything in chat, or leave me a bad message, I rate them a good sport.

I have played approximately 3000 games.  (I had another account but closed it before this one)  When I started I was super chatty and friendly and got a lot of positive return.  Now I just play focus mode and don't do much other than making it a point to get in a GG on every game.  NOBODY responds.  Kinda weird.  I figured this new system would at least increase the amount of replies that I get but that hasn't been the case.
