what kind of crazy world do you people in ???

I live in a tin foil world where Rheagar Targaryan is alive and is masquerading as Mance Rayder.

Azukikuru

Yeah, that's what I thought. I spent the whole morning trying to find news of Short's passing.

Masamune314

Strangely, I miss this thread. :(

Of course. In every other thread people assume I am a dude. Hahaha

Masamune314

There was also a pleasing mix of smart and smart a** people here.

why people assume you are a dude? well i was kinda looking for you. and trysts,  i even messaged her asking where she was gone. Lola, she created a thread that was also interesting, title is ''bobby fischer lacked creativity...'' or something like that. now its kinda dead too

I should have called myself Tomoe Gozen or some such. I saw the Bobby Fischer Lacked Creativity thread too but kind of drove on past it. Perhaps if there was a thread, say, are all great chess players tortured souls or something? Do you have to suffer for great chess? Idk.

BF was just the strangest of the strange birds I think. I will take a look see at that post.

Could staff lock this lame thread please ?

It's been stale for ages.

thanks!

What Nigel does not realize is that a brain wired to play chess is not a sign of intelligence but more a sign of neurological miswiring with few adaptive applications to real world living.

True intelligence involves itself in the issue of solving the problems and suffering inherent with human condition whilst children that think they know better tend to play games of no significance.

Intelligence has nothing to do, as such, with solving the problems of  "the human condition." It is just as much to do with solving other problems which do not relate to the human condition.

Bonny-Rotten

do you mean that stupidity is required for solving problems of the human condition ?

Not at all. That is not what I said. I meant that it is not true to state that solving problems related to the human condition is the sole indicator of intelligence.

Bonny-Rotten

Oh I had no idea the word "solely" was missing. Thanks!

anyways, about the thread, maybe it'll improve now that it's hit the zombie phase :)

JollyBishop

I have created a zombie. In the form of Nigel Short.

No that's great. Look its not the first time a forum like this one has been created here.

There is this other one called 'Bobby Fischer on women in chess' here in 2009. you can find it easily. for example google this phrase:

They can't concentrate, they don't have stamina, and they aren't creative. They are all fish

That was what BF said on television in 1963. There is a video there.

Well I am a Pisces. Still, fish?

Masamune314

Oh well. The guy's dead so we can just move on. Unless..he's a zombie! Kill it with fire!

badger_song

I didn't know Nigel had joined gamergate.

Azukikuru

Shortgate.
