Hi,

Your advice is good, thank you. I also got good advice from the human in training. I hope you can

unblock him since he is probably not such a bad chap. It is easy to get chippy in on line discussions.

We are chess players, and should eschew such petty squabbling. Communication is underrated as

an art and science, and it is all too easy to misunderstand or fail to be clear. Thanks again for your

help.

Hi Rachel

No, he will remain blocked.

I do not forget, I do not forgive.

There are lots of people that abuse the forums on this website.

I bow to your greater experience but had to give peacemaking a try.

Hi Steve,

RE your #20 post.

Thanks for the tips on how to move with clicking instead of dragging. Basic stuff but somehow I had

got myself stuck dragging and forgot about this possibility. As for my profile for live games, what one sees is not always to be interpreted in one way only. I tend to play 10 minutes because that is a nice chunk of time that fits my schedule. But also I like the pressure. I also like to take risks and if I lose my queen or other pieces I am not necessarily unhappy. I take it as a special challenge to win after being down, to find moves that turn what should be a loss into a win. Doing this, of course I lose

more often than I would being cautious and taking more time (which makes someone in chess.com happy about winning) , but for me, the greater victory, is that this is a much better way to improve my game than relying on "tactics" and lessons and so on.  "Tactics" I have noticed seems is might assume a certain level of sophistication based on one rating. So it throws these problems that it wants resolved in only one way, but there are more than one ways to resolve many chess problems.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion, but what looks like struggle to you is actually sheer pleasure pushing the envelope.

Hi Rachel

Sounds like you needed a few days to break that old habit when moving and adjust to clicking, old habits die hard.

Also sounds like you enjoy the rush when playing against another person.

Have fun!!
