This is a great thread. Nobody should be allowed to play on this site until they've spilt the beans here.
So - my name is Andrew, I'm a freelance musician, and this is about my 20th account in four years. I just love chess, I have phases in which I pursue it excessively until I decide that the addiction isn't good for me, so I then delete my current account. Then I work hard for a few weeks and reward myself with a new account, promising myself that this time I'll 1. definitely not overdo it this time; 2. not f**k up any more as Black against 1.d4, and 3. not drink as much when I'm playing, so that I can finally reach my deserved rating, which is at least 200 more than I actually have.
