Yes I think that knight are one of the most valauble pieces it's manuverablity is key for chains and mate.
Piece Theroy

bishops and knights are the same value when you dont have a plan yet. if the position is closed trade off your bishops for your oppenents knights and dont let your opponent trade off his bishops for your knights. if it is open trade of your knights for your opponents bishops and dont let your opponent trade off his knights for your bishops. i hope i helped :)

Having two bishops in an open board against a knight and bishop or two knights can be a considerable advantage.

well heres the key knights can fork but its also possible that knights can get trapped easier so I think the bishops are better

Simply beautiful. Well said chessroshi!

bishop pares are killer, especially in an end game, then they dominate. Mebeme, e4 and you are perfectly fine

The Bishop and the Knight are both equal. It all depends on the position, as stated earlier. Knights cannot be used effectively from distant ranges though(which is one of the topics of this thread). As you know, Knights can only move in short distances and it can take 3 moves just to move the Knight across the board to where the "action" is. You know what the opponent could do in three moves? Endless possibilities.
Nevertheless, it all depends on position and creativity. You can create some crazy lines from creative attacks. Just look up some of Mikhail Tal's games! Lol.
Knights are said to be better at close range chess, and bishops are said to be better at long range. Is the knight better than the bishop overall and can it be used long range and short?
