playing on line

Hello every one.

                         i am a club player i started playing in a club near to whir i live february this year. I learnt to play chess on line, but was not learning to play good chess,  as most i played attacked from the start of game was not helping me with development so i stoped playing on line but i fill i need to play more as just playing chess for a few hours on a thursday. does playing on line help much? As playing  on a board fills great. THANKSSmile

Playing the slow game ('correspondence-style' chess) is certainly a very different experience from the adrenalin rush you get from playing competitive OTB. I would have thought it would help you improve your game, while LiveChess should prepare you for time pressure.

One question is: what will help you with the physical side (e.g. clock management & notation)?
