Points agains a person with thousands of games!

I am playing an individual who is clearly a superior player by rating. I am about to win one game and the other one is too early to predict the outcome. This person plays literally thousands of games at a time. All of a sudden he let something like 1,000 games expire on time reducing his rating to 600 something. Now if I lose to this superior player I will lose 14 points but if I win I'll only get 1 point. This can be significant to those players who are playing many games with him, unlike myself who is only playing two. Any thoughts?

The link will take you to this person and one of the games. http://www.chess.com/echess/game?id=81034778

not fair but you should have seen he was playing that many games------that should have been a warning.
