I’m over 2400+ and I do it. I play titled players frequently and they do it too. It’s speed chess, we all blunder under time pressure, we just do it less and know how to hang on/recover better when we do.
Iv actually been trying to find 2300s-2400s to play against I dropped almost 200 elo due to hanging peices
I would actually argue we do blunder just as much but the conditions are different it's way more about pressure and style of play then in lower elos and when we do blunder we can fight back easier (lower elos make way more inaccuracies tho )

To be honest, I have to agree that in blitz lots of people give me pieces to chomp on. The other day I was playing unrated and a 2200 hung his queen for me
