You do that Andy - you get that bad taste right out of your misinformed, backward, illiterate arse.
Racism on live chess
It is almost 1 year since i joined this site came across couple of abusive people but today someone for the first time racially abused me. I have clicked on a challenge in live chess,he refused to play against me and wrote in the chat box ' i dont play curry monkey scum' by mistake i clicked on a rematch again he made a racist remark ' get lost you piece of turde'
I know one should not post these in forums. I have tried to report abuse but i lost the link to that chat. But i have taken a screen shot.
Apparently he was afraid you were going to whip his ass. To hell with him then.
someone was racist to me after i beat them one time. i sent in a ticket explaining what happened. their account was removed from the site. no problem.

Something tells me this is one of the many perpetual trolls this site has. Close an account, open an account, close an account, open an account.....no one serious about chess would be so idiotic. I wonder, was this guy a new member?
nope. as soon as i told him i was going to report him he started telling me he was really sorry etc. best part is, i'm white. he just assumed i wasn't because of my user name.

Damn' white supremacists!

Social taboo is the dictatorship of the 21st century.
I don't think it's quite so novel.

Social taboo is the dictatorship of the 21st century. Perfectly reasonable opinions, like the idea that we really shouldn't be that offended by someone using abusive language on the internet, are silenced by the morality police who will also utilise insults (misinformed, backward, illiterate etc.), but only those that are deemed acceptable...
Oh boo-hoo, you can't cuss and spew hate speech to strangers in front of children online, get over it. Social taboo is a dictatorship? There are always going to be social norms that look down on certain behavior, that's a pretty pathetic "dictatorship". As if being polite is such a bad thing... that's the only "reasonable opinion" here.
I've been on the receiving end quite a few times - both online and in real life
I have learned to not let it bother me - if people really are going to be so pathetic as to insult someone on the colour of their skin (as if being born with one colour of skin was anyones choice or makes them somehow different from everyone else) - then they really are sad individuals indeed
I am concerned though that some people have to put up with it more than i do - or that kids maybe dragged into the firing line - and its not right that people should dismiss this topic out of hand just because they assume that the victim of the racist slurr should be able to either ignore it or deal with every issue - issue by issue
I accept that society isn't going to change over night - and it will take time (maybe forever) for racism to become truely something of the past - but while it does happen people should pull together to show those guilty of displaying racist views that they are wrong to voice those openly
There are people (like young children) who are not in a position to defend themselves properly against racist remarks - and this is why the issue cannot be dismissed out of hand
Unless you've experienced it first hand from an early age - i am not sure you can ever appreciate how it feels

Idiots are gonna be idiots. Don't feed the trolls. Ignore them, report it, and move along.
nah bruh, we say haters gonna hate. and i think feeding the trolls is way more funner.
Boy, all the righteous wienies really come out of the woodwork about stuff like this...it's like this whole parade of hall monitors.
Think it's about time for me to read some more P J O'Rourke, to get the bad taste of all that moral indignation out of my mouth.
