explain to me somebody, or anybody, WHY DO PEOPLE RESIGN FROM GAMES? I last checked, that no matter what the situation is game or life, that you DO NOT QUIT..everything down to the end point is learning process if you are at that point of end...good for thought, if you had cancer would you give up???? STOP RESIGNING PEOPLE!!!!!

Time spent playing a lost position is time I could spend playing another game. Some people quit too early, sure, but there are plenty of situations where there's absolutely nothing to be learned. Cutting your losses and trying again isn't quitting. Giving up on chess entirely is quitting. You get more than one game of chess in life.

Your comparison of playing chess to fighting cancer is disgustingly trivializing. You need to get over yourself, accept that people are going to live and play the way they want, and worry about the things that actually affect you.

Actually GrandMasters rarely play the full game out. Why continue when you know the result? You could learn from them!
