I think it's a coming-of-age story that involves itself with chess. There's a term for the sort of story this is, and I cannot remember. I think "bildungsroman" is incorrect. But the sort of plot where someone of seemingly no note proves themselves to be the best and most important. Humans love that sort of thing. The Harry Potter series is kind of like that, as well as anime like Bleach or Naruto. Or movies like the Matrix. Really a ton of stories out there.

I liked it and honestly, it was what got me here. I had always been interested in chess but never sat down to learn and play. After watching the show and liking it so much, I downloaded the chess.com app and have been playing a few games most days since.

The timing was unfortunate for me, because of COVID. I had been coaching elementary school classes and it would no doubt have been a boon, but I cannot teach now, I don’t want to take risks for my family.

I love it, stunning cinematic and their actors performance. It really brings me to play the game of chess again. That film also give us idea imo, chess player in this day should be luxurious and glamorous instead of being an awkward. Chess should be an entertaining game to enjoy. Not like just done with handshake and clapping.
