Shooting the s**t

occasionally, i will browse topics here, and post while i have music playing. tool, radiohead, the verve, chili peppers, pf, poi dog, nin, and many other bands i love.

i do this when there is nothing pressing. this site, for me, is for fun.

anyone else do this?

i would like to make it clear that this topic is not about playing games and listening to tunes. it's about having fun in the forums when listening.

I occasionally listen to music whilst on the forums, but generally, I find it too distracting. I prefer silence.

is your preference because you mostly look at serious topics about the game? if so, understandable. i don't understand topics that get into openings, moves, etc. if i were a good player, i could see how it may be distracting.

I listen to the radio all day at work. When I come home, I prefer a bit of peace and quiet. Also, truth be told, I don't multi-task very well. If I have music playing, then I'm likely listening, and that seems to reduce my ability to think.

p.s. I've been here all along, just less often and for shorter periods. I've been playing a lot of Elite: Dangerous (a space simulation game) this last year. I've managed to rack up 2200 hours played in only 14 months... it has been like taking on another full time job... it's so addictive... help me...
