Yes, you should upgrade.
Should I upgrade to Diamond to study Chess Mentor some more, or-
Well I would say definitely do not retire because Chess helps to keep the mind active ( as has been discussed in my thread on Chess for Oldtimers ). Besides if you retire from Chess what are you going to do with all of that free time ?

I know your being snide about me, but I truly wonder why you don't upgrade to improve, since you seem to have a bit of an aptitude for it.

My brain's still crud.

He can become a chess coach!
Why don't you upgrade?
Since you won't answer, I'll assume you're just stingy.

Well, if memory serves (and unfortunately, too often nowadays I find that memory swerves), this is far from the first time that you've threatened to quit the game forever.

Okay, so you're not really threatening to leave, just to go back to being a plebe like the rest of us again.

Sorry, I missed your response. But to answer your question, I may have to send Erik some money at some point, but I just wouldn't use TT or Mentor. But I think those things have made you a better chess player, so you should upgrade and continue with your success

I had a gold membership once... partly so I could run gonnosuke's games though Rybka (houdini wasn't around at the time) and send in a ticket, which I did. Top 3 match up method, 30 seconds per move, random games, database moves not included, all the stats there to see.
Did chess.com care? No. Not until many months later... it's not like I was the first to send a ticket either. He was such an obvious cheater it pissed me off, and people still talked about him like he knew anything.
He's gone now though.
Wait, what were we talking about again?

Jesus, and it doesn't even say for cheating. I swear Erik must have owed this guy a lot of money or something.

Why don't you take advantage of stuff like Chess Mentor on here? It seems you have some chess talent. You would probably benefit.
Retire from my illustrious chess career?
