Besides, the problem is that threads start out stupid, and stay that way. If they'd let us turn them into more interesting threads like we used to do, then everything would be fine. Instead they give too much credence to the OP so dumb threads stay dumb.

Back in the day hurt/heal opening threads and threads asking BorgQueen what strategy is could be turned into galleries of music and delicious desserts and breakfasts. Back when men were real men, women were real women, and spiderman threads were real spiderman threads, where the law of the land reigned supreme and the sheriff would let us frolic and insult people with image macros. Now those days are gone and stupid threads no longer become awesome.

first thing is first, some people can disagree with me and still don't behave as a moron would, others...you'd think they'd know better, but they still act a fool. The fact I pointed that out has nothing to do with whether I agreed with them or not. Also, the fact I pointed out that they exist and act they way they do, doesn't mean I was necessarily being condescending. You really need to get your facts straight before you go spouting at the mouth...

There has to be some sort of index of good posts.
That way what is good is always visible and does not get buried. It is ok to have stupid posts as long as we are aware of what is worthwhile.
