site records

All chessers here, I am making a proposal for all of chess.com

Why don't we make a small part of chess.com for site records, ex. "most simultaneous games" or "most players to sign up for a team match".

This could be fun, a lot of players wanting a record for themselves.

We could put it like this: 1. A member will say he has a record.

2.He will send a message to the member assigned to the said record that the member says he/she has.

3.The member assigned will check and find evidence that supports his claim.

4.If said record is true, the member assigned will put the record with the record bearer on a specific part of chess.com's site.

So guys if you agree with this proposal, please show it by putting a comment so this could become reality. Thanks in advance for showing your support!!! :-)

I don't know... but if there was a record for the most simultaneous games haddad56 would definitely win

You joined just after ANIKO's reign of terror with more than 3000 simultaneous games. Most wins were timeout wins. (The average internet lifetime is short. Players grew old and died before the game could be decided on the board.) The open seek process was changed to deter this behaviour.

ANIKO now has to be content with hundreds not thousands of games.

Great idea!  I'd love for this to happen!

I probably have a record or two...

You can easily find ANIKO's record number of losses here. Over 4000 total, over 2000 by time out.

I have a feeling you are an "ideas" kind of guy and others have to do the work.

To determine this take a look here. Start at the top. Check each subsequent player for a higher number of wins or for a player who has played less games than the player with the highest number of wins so far.

rockycamarista

Ok, thanks TadDude!!!

The record for the most wins belongs to AWARDCHESS.

rockycamarista

Ya, I heard that too!!!

TadDude

Basic member with most games completed without a timeout. Zirga_Galva

With the number of games in progress, this member has been playing with "No Vacation" rules for a long time.

All Games

Total Games: 3247
In Progress: 227
Timeouts: 0 (0%)
Time/Move: 4 hrs 50 mins

Note: Timeouts are not a real statistic for premium members. Some would time out hundreds of times but are saved with auto-timeout protection.

No fact-checkers here. It is a tedious job.

The first member-created tournament on the list of current tournaments is Windward Chess & Go Club V - started 2008 03 09

But that's not even the oldest - Possibly the oldest - The Bloody Axe (Vikings vs. Saxons). started 2008 03 04.

How does the auto-timeout actually work and for how long? Is it a constant thing so they will NEVER timeout? I ask because an opponent had just a handful of vacation days and then one day I checked and he had over a month of time left!!!  How can you tell exactly how much time a person has for vacation?

See here for info on auto-timeout protection. There will be a bump in vacation time when a member upgrades membership.

To see remaining vacation time, send a challenge to the player then view. Try to do this while the member is not online so you can cancel the challenge.
