Be confident and make them prove to you they can beat you. Hang tough and try. Stay focues because you can't make too many errors against that line-up. I envy your challenge, I had similar opportunities when I was a class player.
So i just found out my tournament next week has masters in it....

Just go play them. At 1700, you are almost sure to lose, but you won't get blown off the board, and unlike an engine, they can (might) explain a few things afterwards. Playing against masters is one of the reasons to go to tournaments or clubs.
And, as a 1300ish player, I find it consistently amusing what strong players think I was planning by certain moves; they will say things like "now when you did this I was concerned because of course, bam, bam, bam, but fortunately it doesn't work after THIS, because of bam, bam, bam," and I'm thinking to myself all I wanted was to get my bishop out of the way of my rook and I had no idea of any of the rest of it.
Along the same lines, I remember going to the Pensacola Chess Club when I lived there (over twenty years ago). NM A.J. Goldsby was studying a book and he liked to talk to people about positions. He says he thinks the author is wrong about a certain move and asks what I think. I say, well I'm 1300 and you are over 2200, but if you want to know what I think I agree with the author. So he asks "what are you going to do about THIS" and makes a move. I make a move and he makes a move. I make a move and he looks at it for about 30 seconds and says something like "Hmm, maybe." I have NO IDEA what he saw in all that. So, playing with masters can be fun.
I have a tournament for junoirs in Miami U18 in a week. I jsut found out a womans canidate master, a national master, and a 2100 player will be there. There are only 30 people signed up for this tournament so im bound to player those monsters. The tournament is 6 rounds an hour each player. For the past week ive been training by reading my system and doing tactics and studying endgame. Im a 1700 over the board player please any advise is welcome
