Spamming on chess.com....

Hello everyone!
I got recently a lot (and when I say a lot, it's like 100 times a week) of club invitations through direct message, but not the official 30 daily club invitations. There are a lot of people who ignore or simply don't mind, that sending a club link through private message annoying is and as spamming considered is.
And indeed, it's annoying, so i am asking you to stop doing that! Your club will maybe grow fast, but it won't stay active if you do that!! And it's really really very very annoyingggggggg

Thanks <3

Surely if you don't want to receive any club invitations, you change your personal settings. Those who do not change them may expect to receive them

Yes. And unfair for other clubs who grow normally

It is spamming when you make a forum article for every minor complaint of yours.

It's not a minor complaint. Dozens of the members of my club complained to me because they get a lot of spams as well

I don't do it either

But it's still annoying and since a few weeks like that.... and apparently I am not the only one to have this problem, so I think chess.com should do more against this.

I personally ignore it (blocking is for the weak). Or you could change your settings to only receive messages from friends

Just because it happens all the time doesn’t make it minor; if anything, it makes it more important. When bad actions (which are against the rules) happen a lot, it doesn’t mean that those actions should become normalized, it means those actions should be stopped quickly.

Chess.com obviously has big issues regarding server overloads (due to the exponential increase of members), but once they eventually figure those out, it’d be helpful if they took action to enforce their rules.

Me personally, once I ignore someone and they sent me their ludicrous and irrelevant club link more than once, I will proceed to block them without warning. Don't have time to acknowledge every ant that runs past my feet.

this is a good idea. that way, you could make all your friends message you through your notes or whatever club you're in.

however, most club invites come from friends.................
