Are there books that give examples of common tactics that come up from certain openings? Like, if one wanted to study the tactics that arise during hte Kings Gambit do they have books that do that sort of thing?

Gennady Nesis wrote a few books of that type.

Convekta has some tactics software with different opening themes, like 'Tactics in the Gruenfeld'. I think they have one for the Sicilian too. I don't care for the Gruenfeld one, but it's mainly deficiencies in the software that bother me. I think the general idea of studying tactics that arise in the sort of positions you commonly encounter is a great idea though.

Well, I would look at more thna tactics. To understand an opening properly tactics, positional ideas and common endgames should all be looked at. Any reputable book on an opening will cover all 3 of those areas.
