You can get to 1700+ alone chess by studying tactics, you do not need a teacher for that. Its been done by some people where they studied nothing but tactics and they hit like 2100.

Maybe, but that's not the way i like to study, i do some of the time but mostly i like playing a game with someone a lot better and just going over it, just more fun for me i guess

I can try help you if you want. Send me a game you think is good, that you lost (not because of blunder), and i will analyze it. Send it in a private message here at chess.com in a PGN file or just the moves.
My FIDE rating is 1672.
I have a rating around 2000 (1984) in tournament games ( going up at every tournament since 2 years and a half). I play 1 or 2 tournaments a year due to money lack. I can help you play better just send me your email in a private message so we can organize a played/analyzed game. I have an ICC account but if you don't want to pay for an ICC account I also play on chesscube, which is free and still a good website. I think I can help you raising your rating a lot, depending on where it is. I do think 1700 or 1800 is quite realistic to achieve in a short time. then we can work harder to bring it to 2000 or higher depending on where I can get myself.
Looking for a higher rated player to play me in a game and go over each move 1700+ would be nice
