That moment when your opponent rage quits and makes you wait for that automatic resign -_-

Hate when that happens meh.png

At least they have the decency to actually disconnect, some opponents sit there and wait, they sometimes even make moves at the last minute to see if you left.

Omg does that actually happen

They shoud do it more often actually. I like when an idiot who doesn't play blitz well, except perhaps over the internet, is angry.

UfkiUzunoz

Isn't that against the rules of Chess.com

Of course it does. 5 years ago I made a move with 0.1s left (note it was a 20(?) min game) in a totally lost position, and won because opponent left. Wink

Of course it is against the rules, but so is misrepresenting.

That is so cheap. You didn't deserve to win that game. Respecting your opponents is what makes a chess player better.

I would prefer to lose than to do that, you decided to act like an asshole instead of being decent, congratulations.

Imagine in a 15|10 or 30|0 game, that is annoying. In blitz I don't care so much

Yes, I was pardoned for trying on some other site, 3l0, got very high, never played again, over the internet. I mean it's not that I'm a bad blitz player, I don't need the aid of an engine.

Wait till you play more games here lol.  There is a lot worse to come.

MSC157

Hey, but I still legally won. That's all that counts, doesn't it?

Brb2023bruhh

There is the auto resign rule to save!! Long periods of inactivity means you lose the game

Indirect

It doesn't. If you went through that trouble to get a win that you didn't deserve, then I feel sorry for you.

Yeah.

What's fun to do is (if they stop playing right before you have mate, and then they move with 1 second left) then you let your time run down, so they think they will win... then when you have 1 second left play the checkmate evil.png

He said it was 5 years ago. He was probably rated 1000 or something. Kids/beginners do that stuff.

If his rating hasn't changed in 5 years, then yeah, shame on him, would have expected better.

If you're going to try that, make sure you have a good internet connection.
