At least they have the decency to actually disconnect, some opponents sit there and wait, they sometimes even make moves at the last minute to see if you left.

They shoud do it more often actually. I like when an idiot who doesn't play blitz well, except perhaps over the internet, is angry.

Of course it does. 5 years ago I made a move with 0.1s left (note it was a 20(?) min game) in a totally lost position, and won because opponent left.

That is so cheap. You didn't deserve to win that game. Respecting your opponents is what makes a chess player better.

Yes, I was pardoned for trying on some other site, 3l0, got very high, never played again, over the internet. I mean it's not that I'm a bad blitz player, I don't need the aid of an engine.

It doesn't. If you went through that trouble to get a win that you didn't deserve, then I feel sorry for you.

What's fun to do is (if they stop playing right before you have mate, and then they move with 1 second left) then you let your time run down, so they think they will win... then when you have 1 second left play the checkmate 

He said it was 5 years ago. He was probably rated 1000 or something. Kids/beginners do that stuff.

If his rating hasn't changed in 5 years, then yeah, shame on him, would have expected better.

If you're going to try that, make sure you have a good internet connection.
