I joined Chess.com during this great spike in popularity. I have really enjoyed playing chess, although not being very good at it. If you joined when I did, how has it been? Have you enjoyed it? Do you want to pursue this great game for a long time, or are you simply playing because it's popular? Any answer is totally fine!

Very nice Question you brought to the Forum, I have some questions of my own, but let me answer yours first, yes think it will stay with me for the rest of my life...if nothing goes wrong...

Now my Questions are, what do these new players think? I mean do they think chess is some kind of game where you can just copy a tutor program and learn in such a fashion, it's quite obvious how most of these new guys have the fantastic idea that they can simply do that, if that's the case then I can reveal, the end of the Road is near....

And then my other question, what's with all these guys that click on a Rapid time control, and in a winning position they drag the game out until the last couple of seconds, wow what an achievement, no seriously, congrats to whom it may concern,  you'll be a chess champion with the solid Golden Rook Trophy.....haha.....

As a new player, I feel like I still have a lot to learn. I have watched some videos on Chess because I have been getting more into the game (GothamChess is a very funny guy!) I do think that chess is not just simply following a single mannerism in every game you play, but rather adapting to every different opening played against you. I'm still learning, but it's been an ever-evolving experience.

Hopefully, that answers your question.
