Mr. Wall closed his own account, then returned as @minichess and is stil active. As @billwall he had been one of the biggest content contributors.

I specifically remember mentioning his leaving to Erik at the time...I'm almost 100% sure it was voluntary. I suspect what happened with the red x is that sometimes a staff or mod with open a self-closed account for some reason (some things can't be ascertained in a closed account) and then reclose it. When it's reclosed, it automatically shows up as if for abuse. Often what you see isn't what you got.

Chess.com was created in 2007 Kohai (staff memeber) joined in 2007 too and is still a member..
@batgirl, you said that Bill Wall joined sometime during May. I found out. He joined on May 18, 2007.
