a the great patzer ...rated 1601. But for that 1 point I would not even bother to answer you and clearly you have already come up with a fitting username for your level so I won't attack or insult you because I appreciate honesty .
The Forums: Time for sub 1600 player restrictions
oh awesome cowintheroad ,run to the mods why don't you. Someone post something you don't agree with and suddenly they have 1000 of accounts and must be trolls.
I have seldom discussed chess here, I come here to mock (and being mocked by) people posting anything except chess topic. I'm having fun... :D :pppppppp
this is true. I haven't been very smart today?
thats interesting that you think I talked terribly about humans. or is this sarcasm? I'll bite- where?
...well, assuming you Will talk to me, I'm only One point above you minimum interaction rating.
I do value honesty. and I agree with your assessment of my username. I AM a patzer. you are good at this, duck.
@Li-joe: to clarify, my comment was directed at the OP, not you right above me. I was just too lazy to quote his/her post.
People think Sitting-Duck has multiple accounts because he/she is unrated and either must be a hypocrite, or has a 1600+ rating on another account...
Did you create a throwaway account just so you could troll users on a chess forum without showing your rating? That's commitment to the cause bro. *Fistbump*
Sitting-Duck, maybe a title change is in order, one member is indicating no brains are required to be above 2000.
I don't have a rating because I refuse to play chess until all offensive religious symbols are removed from chess. It is a matter of principle. Bishops should go because they don't belong in the game. It has nothing to do with another account.
now that is familiar. someone ranted about that the other day!
anyways if you need great rating is required to post- how can you post while refusing to earn any rating? this is not logical..
even "on principle"...
don't take it personal, but we can't be sure that you really know enough about chess to blab on such an well-known authority of chess.
I guess being "1" point above the minimum interaction level am spose to say very little... that then explains the bad morning. thank you
Li-Joe if you put every atom in my brain through an electron accelerator and break it into quarks you will still not find that piece that thinks your new game is an interesting concept.
does anyone get what thegreat_patzer is trying to say ? it's a bit like a church sermon, so it kinda drags a bit and loses the listener too quickly.
OP,you don't have to join a forum,do you? You can start a discussion group and invite who you like,or just talk to yourself.
Patzer if you knew anything about chess you would know that I am the Spiritual Leader of Chess World wide. This was covered in detail some time back and accepted by the vast majority of members. It is almost embarrassing to have to bring this under your attention but then again you only have a single point seperating you from the unwashed masses.
Let's say there is a crowd of 100 people that are into baseball. 5 of those play for the Yankees and the other 95 play for fun on weekends. Who would you rather listen to concerning the inner workings of baseball? It doesn't mean the 5 Yankees are superior beings they are just very good at baseball. So you would rather listen to the Yankee players especially if the other 95 guys are asking the same dumb questions over and over again.I hope this makes it more clear. This is why the Romans had the senate in the forums ,you just could not leave things up to the mob and allow them in there.
I know this is trollish stuff going on here, but to be serious for a moment:
Sometimes I think lower rated players can give better answers to beginners. Not only do experienced players forget what it was like, and what's important, but they may give extra information which will only confuse matters. Also the answers tend to be dry or technical so they don't spark any of the fun or interest that's fundamental to any improvement. Someone who was recently a beginner will more likely talk about something both relevant and fun.
Not to say there's never any bad advice. But that's the beauty of a forum. You get a wide range of responses.
